Working together on the energy system
The energy transition is one of the most important social challenges of our time. As co-designer and builder of a sustainable energy system, Netbeheer Nederland plays a key role in this. The new website offers insight into the challenges and developments, connects the parties involved and inspires them to actively contribute to it.
With the energy transition, the Dutch energy system is also undergoing major changes. 2.6 million roofs are already equipped with solar panels, about a third of all homes. But the lightning-fast electrification of our economy is also creating challenges: in January 2024, 9,400 entrepreneurs were on the waiting list for power purchase and 10,000 for feed-in. That is why grid operators are jointly investing 8 billion euros until 2026 in what is seen as the biggest rebuild of our energy system in history.
Organization
Netbeheer Nederland is the association of all electricity and gas grid managers in the Netherlands. Together they make an important contribution to the transition to a sustainable energy supply.

In order to effectively involve all stakeholders in the energy transition, Netbeheer Nederland positions itself as co-designer of the future energy system and director within the chain.
